iPhones are great devices, but when it comes to an iPhone battery life, you might not like them so much. Because of the multiple uses of an iPhone, the battery drains super fast and sometimes you have to charge your phone twice a day.
Here are my 5 tips to save your iPhone battery life. I use them daily and so far they proved pretty useful for me.
Here are some easy tips to help you save your iPhone battery life
1. Turn on the low power mode
When the latest iOS was launched, they introduced the low power mode – which is available on iOS 8 as well. The low power mode is activated when your battery is 20% and is reducing automatically the usage of your battery. Turn this feature on before your battery reaches 20% power. It will keep you battery life longer.
2. Turn off the mobile data
I’m sure that you let your mobile data on when you’re out. Turn it on only when you really need it: while checking you e-mail or social media and after that turn it off.
It will drain your battery because it will constantly update your apps and send you notifications. Another good idea would be to turn off the background app refresh and the mobile data for apps that you don’t check so often.
3. Lower the brightness of your screen
Although it usually will brighten automatically, try to lower the brightness when you don’t need it.
4. Turn off wi-fi
If you’re not home – where you’re iPhone will connect automatically to your wi-fi network – turn the wi-fi off. If it is on, it will constantly search for wi-fi networks where to connect and it will drain your battery. Turn on your wi-fi when you know that there is a wi-fi network around.
I also turn off the wi-fi while I’m home and I’m not using my phone. I turn it on only when I check my social media or e-mail.
5. Turn the sound off
I usually keep my phone in my pocket and I only need it to vibrate because I usually can’t hear it. If you’re not comfortable turning off the sound, then turn off the vibration, depending on what you prefer.
Meanwhile, we’re waiting for the release of the new iOS (can’t wait to delete 80% of the default apps), maybe they’ll find some ways to improve battery life as well.
